DANCE: GIRLS’ HIP HOP  (BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE)

 

“We KNOW You Can Dance!” Learn the latest cool moves and have a blast! With a focus on finding each child’s unique rhythm, following choreography, and developing body control, this class offers a fun, casual dance experience. Girls will learn “kid-friendly” Hip Hop and Funk style movements seen in their favorite music videos, and develop social and performance skills. Dancers will work on a professionally choreographed signature Stars’ routine, and will work together to create an original Hip Hop piece that will showcase their creativity and newfound abilities. No previous dance experience required. Wear tennis Shoes and comfortable clothes.

DANCE COMBO:    HIP HOP CONTEMPORARY BEGINNING

 

Get the best of dance in this exciting new class, combining all of your child’s favorites into one action-packed session. This new and exciting introductory class will expose the beginning dancer to the energy of Hip Hop, the precision of Jazz, and the expressiveness of Contemporary dance styles. Participants will learn strength and flexibility exercises, style-specific dance technique, and following choreography. Dancers will share their new talents with family and friends in a Triple Threat Showcase at the end of the session. Learn skills, build confidence, and have three times the fun with this total dance experience! No previous dance experience required. No class Thursday, November 27th.

DANCE: BOYS’ HIP HOP (BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE)

 

Dance is definitely NOT just for girls anymore! Build coordination, rhythm, and athleticism while helping your child develop social confidence and poise. Stars’ “Bring It On Boys Club” combines elements of popular Hip Hop dance styles including Street Dance, Break dance, Funk Style, and improvisation. Featuring the latest music, this energy filled class will excite and challenge your future B-Boy, and give him confidence to shine onstage and off. (Note: Older boys’ class will feature an additional focus on integration of Hip Hop into recreational social dance.) No previous dance experience required. Wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothes.
