Dance is discipline, and our dress code is designed to eliminate distractions, promote safety, and focus the dancers’ attention on the dance...
FOR BALLET:
ON TOP: Black Leotard
ON BOTTOM: Pink, or Black Tights
SHOES: Pink Ballet Shoes
Black ballet skirts or booty shorts by Teacher approval ONLY.
No costumes or tutus may be worn.
FOR ALL OTHER CLASSES:
ON TOP: Black close-fitting camisole, tank top, T-Shirt, or black leotard
ON BOTTOM: Black booty shorts, trunks, dance pants, dance skirt or black leotard Legs may be left bare, or you may wear tan, black, or pink tights
SHOES: Black or tan jazz shoes for all classes other than Hip Hop. Hip Hop shoes or unsoiled light-bottomed athletic/tennis shoes may be worn for Hip Hop only. Please – no street shoes in the studio! All clothing must be predominantly black. It may contain a dance insignia, trim, or other decoration in a color other than black, but Teachers reserve the right to determine that a certain item may not be worn again in class.
No costumes may be worn!
* Dancers not in compliance with appropriate dress code requirements after being previously warned will be asked to sit out that day’s classes….. OTHER:
Hair should be worn back and out of the dancer’s face, and placed in a secure bun for Ballet class. To ensure the dancers’ safety, no dangling jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, long earrings) will be permitted in class. No gum, candy, drinks, food of any kind or cell telephones allowed in the studio!! |
